It is also a time that I spend most of my money on fashion magazines. I am extremely fascinated by the imagination and the creativity of the designers. The magazines these days are not just a magazine, they are like a weekly artistic photo album. Imaginative designs and provocative photographs, the magazines have become my favourite collectible item.

Well well well, it seems like I have been slacking off on updating this blog. Last month, February, was my birthday month. My friends and I had a very good time celebrating my birthday. It was like a birthday weekend, we partied from the dusk of Saturday to the dawn of Sunday. From dusk til' dawn! I only remembered the dinner part at Delilah's, and bits and pieces of what happened at Brandi's. I must have lots of fun then.

It was a rather difficult and confusing time for me. I was lost in the academic world which I didn't know what I was doing anymore. However, I reached out to my friends and family, to my surprise, I got tons of warm support from them.

My birthday this year marked a very important stage in my life, I gained a sense of self-discovery and I realized what I wanted to do in life. I was very glad that my friends were there to witness my transformation and celebrate my birthday. It was the best birthday ever! I love all of my friends!

A side story (From the vauge memory that I have left from the night at Brandi's):
I bought my friends and I a V.I.P table and had a tap for all of us. The boys were excited to see some acrobetic dancing and the girls were just having fun in our little private section. We drank, drank, and drank some more... I didn't quite remember what really happened there. I only knew that I was talking to alot of people there, patrons, staff, and dancers. I was a socialite. My friends, those random female patrons, and myself were dancing on the dancefloor while the dancers were performing on stage. I have never seen people dancing on the dancefloor at Brandi's, but that night the tiny dancefloor was packed. It was amazing! At the end of the night, I got a private dance from LL. She wanted to chat before the dance, but I was way too drunk to carry on an intellegent conversation. Those girls like to chat, I don't quite understand. I told her she reminded me of AR, then we talked about AR for a little bit. After the dance, I was too drunk to pay her.... too drunk to count the money. So she was counting with me, as if I was a child learning how to count numbers with the help of a teacher. Yea, a drunk student, a naked teacher! Hey! It might be a good story for a movie. hehehehehe

I have done a lot of thinking and cleaning lately. I am in the progress of getting rid of my old stuff which I have been clinging onto for a very long time. Most of them are agendas from high school and the first few years in university. Those agendas documented my daily life during those times, the life was smooth and structural. Comparing my life now to a few years ago, it now seems so out of place. Nothing seems to fall into places. I guess I am experiencing Quarter-Life Crisis. It is true and there is a book that talks about it. The book which I am currently reading is called 20 Something, 20 Everything by Christine Hassler. I recommend and encourage young women at this age who are feeling confused, anxious and lost in life, should read this book. It contains lots of excerises and quizes to help you in all the departments in life, from health, to career, to relationship. In the book, there are many other stories of other young women in their 20's, there is a voice to comfort other confused 20-something young women that they are not alone.

Beside old agendas, I also found a memorial book, or a memoir from high school which contained comments and other memorable words from my close friends in high school in Hong Kong. Of course, I read some of the passages, all of the suddenly I realized I had not been in touch with them for so long. I really missed them. It will reach the 10-year mark in September. I cannot believe that I have known some of my friends for 10 years. We have known each other since we were 15 years old. Wow! Oh! That just tells people how old I am. My birthday is coming up in next month. Shall I have a lavish party or a mellow one?

Welcome to the mind of a socialite

In the beginning of 2006, I have decided to put my thoughts to words. Perhaps, the thoughts are mostly confessions rather than suggestions from a socialite. I guess we shall see how things go in this year. Again, I hope it is going to be fabulous.
